Jan Koene was until recently Head of Performing Arts at a College of Further Education and works in adult education delivering management training programmes to help the unemployed.

He studied directing in London and Moscow and has directed over 90 productions. He  has worked as an actor, performing in such varied spaces as the Barbican Theatre, Welsh Miners’ Galas and the car deck of a Sealink car ferry. He writes or adapts most of the shows he directs and often designs and builds the sets.
