Sarah Tenant-Flowers studied music at Oxford and Durham Universities and conducting with Sir Charles Groves, Laszlo Heltay and others. She has worked with the Cape Town Philharmonic Choir and Orchestra, the Kantorei der Friedenskirche of Düsseldorf, Cardiff Polyphonic Choir, Reading Bach Choir and many others.
Sarah is currently artistic director of professional ensemble Singscape, which specialises in multimedia collaborations, and female voice group Papagena, Associate Music Director of the Brandenburg Sinfonia, co-director of Encoro and musical director of NC3 chamber choir, lecturer in choral conducting at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and on the council of the Association of British Choral Directors. Sarah maintains a particular interest in Russian Orthodox, multimedia and contemporary choral music, has commissioned widely and conducted many UK and world premieres. She is a regular judge for the annual BASCA composer awards.
Sarah conducted the first public performance of Nick Bicât's Requiem for Cantata Dramatica in March 2012.
