Durham University Chamber Choir together with players from the County Music Service and baritone Daniel Tate battled through the elements on Saturday 2 Feb to give a preview of performance of the ‘Life of Cuthbert’ in St Aidan’s Church, Bamburgh, conducted by Theo Golden. Despite the snow, the audience was larger than expected and the piece was very well received. This is the start of our ‘Cuthbert pilgramage’, continuing with visits to four primary schools and ending at Durham Cathedral on Friday 8 Feb. Cantata Dramatica to partner with Durham Vocal Festival
The Chamber Choir Evening on 28 January 2018 included a first performance of 'Patrick's Hymn' from Solfa Carlile's Cantata on the Life of St Cuthbert, sung by the combined chamber choirs (Fenham Ensemble, Durham Singers, Northern Spirit Singers and Sage Chamber Choir).
